I learned something with my Pygmy that you won't with another brand of boat. There is a very clear line where the pieces of each panel are butt-joined to make the full-length panel. When the panels are stitched together, the butt-join line on each panel is lined up with the butt-join line on the one next to it. Really nice no-guess no-trial-and-error method of locating the panels relative to each other.

When I started tightening up the stitches, the lines always moved out of alignment. I finally figured out that I was twisting all the wired in the same direction and each one ever so slightly moved the panels out of line. So, I started with the stitches on either side of the line and twisted them in opposite directions and alternated directions. My initial sequence was one on the bow side clockwise, TWO on the stern side counterclockwise, one on the bow side clockwise, one on the stern side counterclockwise, etc. After each wire was tightened I checked the alignment of the lines. After I had a few of each tightened on either side of the lines, I could go back to tightening in the same direction.
