Interesting problem Chris. Thanks for posting, I will add your solution to my idea book in case I run into the same situation.

Any guesses as to how the difference between the hull and deck occurred? I assume you followed Vaclav's steps pretty closely?

I have now got the deck loosely stitched together. Of course there are some gaps and tight spots when the plates are pulled together. After conversing with you I went out and bought a Dremel today to make some minor adjustments in the plates. I found the sanding block was not working for me.

Any tips on using the Dremel on the plates?

Even though I have gone around the deck stitches for one tightening I find that there is still lots of play, in fact one of the plates on the fore deck and one on the aft deck has to sit partially on top of their neighbours. I am hoping that sanding the edge of the panels will solve this. Did you go through that situation as well?
