Epoxy: Epoxy chemical bond - Deck Glass to hull

I am finishing the hull of my COHO with its last fill coat tonight and look forward to flipping the boat to begin the deck work. I have been working each coat of epoxy onto the last well within the 72 hour "window" for chemical bonding and have thus far experienced no problems (other than realizing my shortcomings as a craftsman).

My question is this: When I get to the point where I am glassing the deck, is there a concern for the bonding between the epoxied glass that overhands the deck and the epoxy coat of the hull which will be well beyond the 72 hour window. I haven't seen anyone mention sanding that area before glassing the deck so maybe it's not a problem.

Any thoughts?

Another question. After experiencing the run-off of excess epoxy during my squeegie-ing of the hull, (allot of dripping onto the plastic covered floor) I wonder how I'll cleanly and effectively squeegie off the excess when I'm doing the deck without too much mess onto the hull. Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your continued great and interesting advice.
