Well, I'm probably the last person to know this, but in case I'm not, here's the review on the Veritas plane blade / wood chisel honing system.

So far I've sharpened two plane blades and 4 wood chisels with the jig and honing guide setup. It's a very easy tool to use. All have come out in fine shape . Even the chisel with the chips out of the blade came out well, considering the damage that I inflicted on the chisel.

The guide is easy to use and has pre measured angles from 15 to 35 degrees to match your blade. The blade guide which actually holds the blade allows you to put a micro bevel on the last few thousands of and inch of blade and obtain a very sharp edge without being too fine and brittle.

good tool and worth the expenditure. Saved me from having to putchase new stuff.
