how many knots?

you didn't talk about the quality of the wood
it is preferable to have wood with very few knots
if there are some they should be small

then again
at that price you can afford to have alot of wastage
just use the strips which are knot free

others have built boats using pine
however it is a heavier wood than Western Red Cedar
or other woods which tend to be more popular for that reason
