S&G: Shearwater prototype - anyone close to Stamford?

I've been periodically bugging Eric Schade since January when I learned he was working on a new S&G design, the Bluefin. I got this from him today:
________

I have the bluefin nearly complete...infact it is only lacking varnish. I
tried it on flatwater over the weekend and am quite happy with it and it's
performance. it is 18 feet long with a 21" beam. Seems pertty fast and
comfortably stable while at rest or leaned. It seems to track well too. I
might change the location of the bulkheads to give more storage space and a
possible "day-hatch" behind the seat. It has a snug but very comfortable
cockpit for me 6-2, 200#, size 11 1/2 shoe.

I do have two CNC cut kits in stock for it.

Let me know if you would like to come by and see or try it.
________

I live in Illinois. Any of you East coasters interested in taking it out for a paddle so you can report back and tell the rest of us what you think?
