This half scale model of a John Michalak design called Toto is being built to be used as a sponson for self rescue and crabbing. Both decks will have Beckson style hatches for small item storage and Cabelas (or Fish-On) flush mount rod holders to accept the support arms (correct term?). It's designed to hold about 120lbs of gear. Should work, we'll see. Needs an aft deck and a center frame for a neoprene cover. I'll post more pics at launch. I am thinking of the safest method to drag this small boat behind my kayaks and would like to know what you think if I just used a small cam cleat for 1/4" line and maybe a secondary 1/8" bungie hooked on with a fastex or ?. Both connections would be directly behind the cockpit (easily within reach) and I will always carry a knife for those emergency situations. What do you think?
