I am currently building two Greenland style skin on frame kayaks. I am more or less following Cunningham’s method. I have all the deck beams fitted and he says to peg them in place through the top of the gunnels. I do not want to do this and am curious if just lashing them is going to be strong enough to hold every thing in place. Any help you could give would be much appreciated.
