Epoxy: Correction or clarification... *LINK*

Not too long ago someone posted a question about what solvents are used to thin epoxy. I answered with nonyl phenol. I knew there were more, but was in a hurry and didn't take the time to look it up. Nonyl phenol is not really a thinner but is used as a filler to increase the volume of "epoxy" that is sold...so that apparently epoxy suppliers can make more money. This additive is not all bad, of course, but, as with everything, you need to use each product for it's designed purpose. I've included a link to a list of solvents that can be used as a thinner/additive to epoxy. I don't know anything about this....just found the list. This information comes from www.epoxyproducts.com ...which is Progressive Polymers, Inc. I guess I'm going to have to give their epoxy a try some day. I've been hoping someone else would do it and post their results. Anyway...sorry about my earlier post if I confused anyone. I'm always confused.
