S&G: Bow attachment for perimeter line

I am planning my deck lines for my nearly finished Pygmy COHO. I have settled on using KajakSport deckfittings to hold the cross hull bungees and the perimeter static lines. The question I have is what to do at the bow. The deck at the bow of the COHO has a pronounced peak along the center line. This may (probably) make it difficult if not impossible to mount one of the hard deckfittings, which seem designed for generally flat surfaces, to the peak. (I haven't yet received the deckfittings I ordered so some of my concerns are based on assumptions of the design of the KajakSport fittings)

I have thought of putting a soft fitting at the bow (1" webbing doubled over into a loop and screwed into place, hopefully screwing into the end-pour). However, I have heard that the soft fittings aren't appropriate for perimeter lines.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

- Joe
