S&G: Auto finish *Pic*

Has anyone ever considered an automotive finish for strippers and stitch&Glue kayaks? I had SIKKENS paint and clear coat sprayed on the QC19 by a master Mercedes Benz painter and he said that it is quite flexible and has a ton of UV inhibitors to protect the epoxy. After one year it is in excellent shape. Not a great amount of time but consider that most cars see extraordinary amounts of exposure to UV light not to mention all of the other elements. It can also be made to look brand new again by buffing. Scratches can be sanded and then buffed out. It's a very tough finish.
