: ok any material engineers out there that know what is the best sealent for
: sealing a PVC film drybag? I will be running wires through the side.

I'm not a materials engineer, but I've had excellent results with using VLP, which is available online and at hardware, and sporting goods stores near me.
Picture is below. an ad blurb about the product is at:

Another thought would be to get a can of Plasti-Dip, which is (I believe)a vinyl-rubber based material used for coating the handles of tools. It is thick and dries fairly fast. You could build up a few thick coats over the area where your wires go through the drybag and hopefully have a flexible seal. Plasti-dip is available at most large hardware and home center stores. You can read more about it at this website:

As an aside, This site also sells the stuff by the gallon ($45) which should be enough to cover a skin-on-frame- kayak. This would be very resiliant aterproof coating which is colorful and would go on fast. It should work over canvas as well as synthetics. I may have t try it to see if it would lock onto the threadds in the fabric, or sit on the surface where it would peel off easily.
Hope this helps.
