This is the last big hurrah. With only a few things left to do the hulls should be wet shortly. I can’t wait it has been a long haul and we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Tomorrow I will epoxy the rails and padeyes down to the decks. Then I will install padeyes on the inside for the hatch covers. I will then break – on Saturday - to go on a much-needed vacation to Neebish Island, which is located 15 miles south east of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan. The island splits the Saint Marys River in half. We will be staying in a cabin on the southern most tip of the island its named Little Neebish and overlooks St.Joseph Island in Ontario. This will probably be one of the last vacations we will take for awhile. This is due to the fact that my wife and I will be expecting our first child/children in about eight and a half months. So I’m officially on my own for all of the epoxy/varnishing jobs. I will try to have them looking pretty and bobbing in Lake Michigan by mid-July.
