Hi Folks, my brother-in-law has just acquired a We-noh-nah kevlar canoe. Unfortunately there is a crack running through the gunwale into the bilge area.
My question to those in the know, Can I repair this damage with fiberglass and epoxy. It appears that someone has made repairs that look like they used the type of fiberglass that we use on our boats. Will it stick if I rough it up and prep the surface. This needs to be a low budget repair and as I already have lots of leftover glass and epoxy I would like to use it. Unless there is some problem doing this. The boat is well used and has quite a few modifications done to it so appearance is not much of a factor here. Any info or links to info would be appreciated.
Keep building, Elliott
BTW the boat is an amber color if that helps. I will get a pic of the thing when he drops it by.
