We launched the hybrid Cormorant 17 I recently completed on July 4th. We didn't get much time on the water because of thunderstorms, but we were all impressed with the performance. Compared to my Guillemot and Outer Island, I'd say that it falls between the maneuverability of the Guillemot and the tracking of the Outer Island. I felt it tracked well, yet turned easily. It had a little less primary stability than my other kayaks, but I could easily lean it over to the coaming without bracing. It seemed relatively fast too. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible the rest of the weekend so we didn't get to take it out again.
