Strip: Skeg on a Guillemot L

I finished my Guillemot L about a month ago. I think I would like to improve the tracking a bit, but I don't really want to add the complexity of a rudder. I just want to make it so that I don't need to make as many corrective steering strokes in waves or wind and I don't want to slow down the boat.

I was considering adding a skeg, but I'm not really sure what the best size or location would be. I was initially thinking of a tear-dropped shape, maybe 8 inches long by 4 inches deep located about 2 feet from the stern.

Any other suggestions?
