Skin-on-Frame: I Couldn't Believe My Ears

My wife said the next boat she wants me to build is a SOF. I can't believe she actually wants me to start another boat project. I visited Aaron Cunningham's baidarka project last night and was telling her how cool it was (nice boat Aaron). Anyway, I really don't know jack about SOFs. I have Starr's book and I'm sure I could just dive into his directions. I love some of the boats I see on H. Golden's site. I guess I'm looking for suggestions. I'm 6' 180lbs. Need a little extra knee room. I want a good roller that tracks well and sits a little low (but not swimming)... Preferably a Greenland design. Speed is more important than maneuverability. I will probably just start with Starr and see where that takes me. I know Harvey's work will eventually take the form of a book. Anyone know when that's due out or what some of my other options are? I see two or three designs on his site that I would love to try.
