The boat is waterproof but not finished; I launched.

LOA 18', BOA 20-1/4", Depth aft of cockpit 7", Coaming lip height aft of cockpit 7", and low volume for a guy my size.

Hull is 4mm okoume, deck is western red cedar. There are two bulkheads, each having a Beckson deckplate installed. Foot braces, seat, and backband are all minicel foam. I'm undecided about hatch installation; I made composite frames but have not installed them yet. I'm not sure that I need hatches as this boat was intended as a play boat, and I rarely take any cargo out for rolling practice.

There seems to be a decent mix of primary and secondary stability. Initially, the boat is a bit tippy, but not at all scary. Layback is painless, as the coaming lip is way down at my pelvis. This is definately the boat for me to increase my somewhat limited boathandling skills. Unlike my Chesapeake LT17, the hull responds to a lean. The boat will alter course when edged.

I have not had much of a variety of conditions for paddling. I have had it in a 2-3 foot swell, and in a very confused 2' short chop right before a rainstorm, in wind up to 15-18knots. The relatively smaller amount of stability was appreciated in these conditions, especially paddling along the waves. The ends are very low, which has some good and not so good consequences. As expected, the low volume of the bow tends to punch through the bigger waves. On the plus side, the hull is not affected much by wind.

I will be bringing this boat to the Newfound Rendezvous, and I would appreciate comments from anyone who wishes to paddle it.
