Thought I'd finally get around to learning how to post some pictures. I've built two Guillemots, with much help from this forum, thanks. My first boat was a Fast Double, for my 10 year old daughter and I, and the second was Guillemot single for my wife (she didn't like being stuck in the plastic Loon). Both boats are made of butternut (comparable weight and strength to cedar) and the single and the paddle have walnut accent strips. I didn't try to do any inlays or fancy designs, though I greatly admire the work I see posted here. Maybe my next boat I'll try to embellish a bit but I wanted to get some boats in the water first. The single took 175 hours and weighs in at 45 pounds. The double is heavy, 100 lbs, and I don't even want to know how long it took me. If I did this right there should be 1 picture here and a link to a couple more--
