Skin-on-Frame: "Sea Rider" Frame Update *Pic*

Though I posted some early frame pics of this Greenland design,
I've finished the more time consuming details and thought a pic
or three was in order.

The frame weight of 24 lbs is a bit heavier than usual due to the
addition of inwales for stiffness ( due to the shallow deck),
eight cross sections (again for stiffness), a removable wood floor,
and extra aft deck tubes. Final weight should be around 33 lbs.
That's still 10 less than a Khatsalano.

My first experiment with a plastic wrap skin proved a success,
as I logged about 8 hours using the skin. I used 5 layers of the
plastic, plus additional layers in the foot area, as I intended
to paddle with it several times.

Next up is the PVC skin and carbon fiber coaming.

"Better Living Through Chemistry". Ha!
