Hello Everyone,

I like to browse the chandlery and find things not kayak-related and then make them kayak-related. Below are two things I used, one is to hook my bungees on. It was made to hook a cover over a dinghy. It had an eye through which to run a cord. I sawed off the eye and drilled screw holes in it and mounted it as a hook to loop the hatch bungee over.

The other is actually a door catch. It came with a male catch that plugged into the female fitting. I used it to run my rudder downhaul line. It looks pretty purpose-built.

Do not adjust your set, the picture is blurry. (Or maybe the kayak was blurry when I took the picture?)
