Here are the Seal-Line footbraces installed in my kayak. I did use more tubing than required. You can terminate the tubing at the seat, but I thought this would add some protection to the wire.

The bottom peg is the adjustable fixed brace. The top peg is the toe control for the rudder. The green thing is the adjustment lever that ends right at the cockpit. You just lift the lever, slide it to the proper fit, and then let go and it locks. Pretty gosh-darned nifty.
