Hey All,

I have started planning my paddling trip for next year. Next years leg will see me paddle from North Battleford, Saskatchewan (or possibly Prince Albert, Saskatchewan) to Winnipeg, Manitoba via the North Saskatchewan River through Lake Winnipeg. The trip should be both eventful and exciting as I pass through prairie and precambrian rock back to prairie. The wildlife will be varied and interesting, to say the least. I expect to do the trip during the entire month of June, 2004, with a slight chance of goingg during the month of July instead.

If anyone would like to join me please send me an email so I can plan for it. If anyone would like to join me for part fo the trip (say Lake WInnipeg or a portion the lake) let me know. Lake Winnipeg is amoung the largest fresh water lakes in the world (11th, according to Ken who lives nearby) and offers many interesting water conditions to paddle through, ranging from dead flat to stormy with big waves. The water is a delight to swim in and the beaches like powdered silk.

If you would like to join me but don't know where to do so, please let me know how many days you have to paddle and how far your daily distance is likely to be and I'll give you a fairly accurate estimate of where to put-in. The south west shore of the lake (the part of the lake I'll be paddling this year) is peppered with towns and resorts so help, in case of emergency, is never far away as is a convenient place to put-out. The lake is also patrolled by the Canadian Coast Guard to radio rescue/assistance is available.

It's gonna be a good paddle so if you're interested get the hell on it, eh!
