Thanks for the messages. The photo doesn't show the strip detail well.

We got it on the water yesterday(local lake). The conditions were a little windy(10-15kts) with waves but it wasn't too bad. Very manouverable and pretty stable(not as bad as I feared). It was a little tough to keep in a straight line for very long but that was probably due to our inexperience paddling and the conditions.
I'll post the pics when I get them developed. It looks GREAT on the water.

On the whole I am very pleased. Now I just have to finish it(varnish and such). I need to redo my hatch gaskets, or at least beef them up abit, as we got some water in them from waves and splashes.

One thing I want to ask: when we took her out of the water the hull had a white discolouration over probably 50-60%. When I got her home and tried a scrub pad and some water it seemed to come off OK. When it dried there was a white powder that wiped right off. Should I be concerned or is this just blush...?
