For those of you who will attend the upcoming Newfound Rendezvous (Sept. 12 - 14th) I'd like to
get some feedback on whether you would like/participate in a self rescue workshop I have proposed to Michael
for Sunday morning of the event. This workshop is described as the following:

Solo and Assisted Rescue Workshop
Paddlers will learn to do a paddle float, self rescue
and a Two Boat T Rescue with a British style variation.
If you don't have a reliable roll you need to know these techniques.
Here's your chance to learn them. To participate you must have a wet
suit/ dry suit, working paddle float, nose plugs, spray skirt and
paddle. You will get wet!

You should be able to do these types of self rescues for your safety and
piece of mind. These rescues are often overlooked because they are not
as sexy as learning to roll, but they are much easier to learn.

It does help to have instruction and comrades while learning these self rescues.

Let me know if you are interested,

All the best,
Rob Macks
