Had a great summer with the two new Guil Plays, to add to last years' Play and Sk. Same wood (5/32" walnut, ash, cherry, locust), different layup. Used 1.8 oz kevlar on inside of hull, 3.25 oz satin elsewhere, with some reinforcement on bottom. Used tax refund to treat myself to Joe G's seats. Really worth it, and great for the economy. :). Boats came in around 33#, noticably lighter than last years' boats, but, I think, stronger.

I've missed you all lately. Had to abandon our Ohio house and farm. Two years ago the county and State approved a commercial shooting range next to us without much setback, so we've had hundreds of rounds of twelve gauge pellets raining on us, and the last few trees I milled were shot to the dickens. :( Oh, well. Better being alive and living in a shack than having one of the kids shot.

In the picture the new ones are on the sides, the SK 2nd from left. Almost looks like a Shaker flotilla :)
