: ALL swede hull form boats tend to balance for carrying towards the front of
: the cockpit. That's because the hull design puts the kayaker's center of
: balance, when you're in it on the water, further back, so the cockpit is
: actually a bit farther aft with a swede hull form than other designs.
: That's REALLY apparent if you look at Joe's Redfish King or look at the
: pics of the Mariners on the Mariner site. Nothing wrong with the design,
: just the way it works out on the swedeform boats.

Thanks Jim. That's the answer I was hoping to hear. I was just a little startled when I tried to carry the boat in the middle of the coaming and the bow dug into the ground!
