Launching: "Knot Likely" does float! *LINK*

"Knot Likely", my Redfish King, finally got wet yesterday afternoon.

It officially passed it's leak test, although it looks like I've still got a little work to do on the front hatch cover. I don't have any pictures from yesterday ready to post yet, but did add a link to a big Quicktime movie on the first page of the build journal. (You get to see both the bottom and the top...) (Please download the movie to your desktop rather than trying to launch it off my host's server.)

I'll try to get a couple more pictures posted sometime this week before we head to Moab for a week on the Green.

The boat is Joe's wonderful design with Nick's coaming riser, Vaclav's coaming, Rob's magnets & VectaCloth keel strips, and Ross' inset compass. Thanks to each one of you for your contribution to this project!

Construction started in early April, and was featured in a local PBS program, Arizona Wildlife Views, which aired in late August. (They took out any mention of Joe, but left in a good shot of the cover of Nick's book.) Deck is primarily Port Orford Cedar, while the hull is primarily WRC, both the dark and the knotty lighter colored section.

Thanks to this wonderful community and all your suggestions and advice. It's so nice to have so many friends I haven't even met yet!
