Re: Paddle: Linseed Oil- Drying Time?
In Response To: Paddle: Linseed Oil- Drying Time? (Steve Phillips)
: Hey, gang-
: I just finished my son's Greenland Paddle, and I'm planning to use some
: boiled linseed oil- (I've had this can for over 20 years- it looks and
: smells normal) and I'm wondering how long it'll take to dry in my
: reasonably warm and dry garage. Any thoughts? Many thanks! Steve
With stuff that old i would not expect it to behae the same as new. I'm kinda surprised it hasn't congealed in the can. Try a sample on a scrap of wood to make sure it works before committing your paddle project to it.
