S&G: Started My First Boat

Well after lurking here for years, I've finally started my first boat. It's a Waters Dancing Solace 16 LT. I've sanded all the parts, marked the form and bulkhead locations, and I've stained the deck sheer panels a dark walnut to highlight the sheer line and they look good so far. I glued up the first batch of hulll panels last night. As I expected, the first rough patch came with the first batch of epoxy. Nothing fatal but it was a sticky gooey mess by the time I was finished with it. The epoxy started to kick just as I was finishing the last of the joints and I didn't want to start a new batch with only two joints to go. Bottom line is it's not pretty but I think it'll hold up. Nothing a few sheets of sandpaper won't clean up. I needed a few more hands.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know there's a new boat started with another to follow as soon as this one's wet. Stay tuned. I'll try to get pics up but without a dig camera they'll be in batches.

(Batches? What batches? I don't need no stinkin...)
