Skin-on-Frame: Coaming Up (Take-Apart Chronicle, ctd) *Pic*

Looking aft. The coaming, averaging 20" interior length, is 15 mm thick okoumé ply. This inox hinge has been added after trials after an amusing swim desperately looking for my left half-coaming that had taken a leave during a rough landing.
The stringers-to-stations connections aren't visible from the cockpit, as they fit the opposite side. The deckridge ends in a larger diameter retainer (a bolt head screwed intyo the rear deckbeam tube) that keeps the plastic coaming crampons from sliding out inside the cockpit (see next pic).
