Strip: Fresh milled white cedar

Getting ready for my winter strip-built project, The King. Bought some white cedar boards (1"x10"x10')today at a real good price from a local sawmill. I was told the tree was cut down less than a week ago. Here's the dilemma, the boards are very green. Has anybody encountered a similar experience with green wood?
My question is:
1. Is it okay to cut the strips 1st and leave them in the garage to air dry,
2. or is it alright to air dry the boards on the deck
3. or do I need to keep it in the garage and away from the cold for temperature consistency?
ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE APPRECIATED!
