I have finally reached the decision that I need a kayak. In consitering what type I remembered meeting a guy at a wooden boat show (in Granville Island, BC, Canada) who gave courses in which the students make their own skin-on-frame kayak. This seems perfect for me as I don't have the space, experience, or confidence to make one on my own.

The problem is I met this guy seaveral years ago and I have no idea how to find him again or even if he's still in business. I've searched the internet and can't find anything like this. Does anybody know of anyone who is doing this type of course, idealy in the Vancouver area?
