In Response To: which setting is it in IE? (Frank Eberdt)

Depends on your setup, version, etc. but try to go to Tools, Internet Options, "Content" tab, "Personal information" section at the bottom, "My Profile" button.

In that area there is probably way too much information available. Delete your address, name, etc. from there.

I wish I could give better instructions than that, but I'm at work and the configuration is a little different. We blow off that area entirely to keep folks from entering something that might create excess spam for the mail servers.

This information probably also exists along with your name and address in other areas of your computer that are also readable in certain situations. I prefer that my computer doesn't know who I am - then I'm sure I'm in control of the information. Getting rid of those can be more difficult. The linked article describes TweakIU, a Microsoft program that allows (among other things) the privacy settings to be adjusted for almost all of your machine.
