: Steve,

: Rather than try to find one large warehouse, couldn't the troop be broken up
: into groups and then use a few garages (the trick is getting enough people
: to volunteer their garages)? You may only be able to assemble one 'yak at
: a time in each garage, but when setup to do the cutting of the frames and
: stringers, you can cut them all up at one time, store the ones not being
: built, and assemble one 'yak at a time. That is similar to what my dad and
: I did. We built "my" kayak first, then his, but all the
: stringers and frames were cut at the same time.

: Good luck,
: Paul

It make take just that. Another possibility is using a garage and driveway. A lot of this can be done outside even if the weather is cold. We need to get the skins on and then the scouts can paint them at home (hopefully!). That way they can each be a little more creative and have something to show the rest of the troop later.
