Folks, I've been having some serious withdrawal symptoms, but the end is in sight, so I just wanted to share my excitement!

The last time I worked on my Outer Island was about 2 weeks before Hurricane Isabel, which hit on September 18. Yesterday marked the 2 month anniversary of the storm, and I'm excited to say that I'm about a week away from being back to a point where I can justify working on the boat, rather than spending all my free time doing repairs at my house, or my parents house. If my "one more week" prediction comes to pass, then it will have been about 3 months since I touched my boat. I'm so excited to get back to it that I can barely stand it!

Of course, it's also been three months since I even thought about paddling my store bought boats. I've been real curious to get out on the water to see how Plum Tree NWR has changed since the storm, but it hasn't been in the cards.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a little bit. :-)
