Hi Mike,

I didn't want to shanghai Puppet's thread on the S&G Night Heron questions, so I'm posting anew, here.

Two Harbors. What a lark. If you're going hiking, do take the trail out to Emerald Bay or perhaps the loafer's walk over to Cat Harbor to take a look at the backside.

I was out on the Island this summer with three friends. I provided the boats and we all sailed and nominally paddled our way around Catalina while camping along the shore. What a fantastic trip. I hadn't taken a serious look out there since I was in the Boy Scouts when I did a ten day summer camp at Emerald Bay every summer.

One of our campsites this summer was Two Harbors where we tanked up on Buffalo Burgers and cold brew.

The boats performed wonderfully under sail. We had some pretty cool conditions on the backside between Little Harbor and Seal Rock. We had 18-20 knot winds at our backs in a 12 foot following sea which put a premium on steering with the sails driving hard on a reach. The ocean on that side has a totally different personality than the channel.

Wish I was there right now, buddy. It's 25 degrees in Salt Lake today with snow spitting regularly. I'll just have to be content with pictures as I build the new boat for the spring testing session.

Chris
