Judson,
The way I've done it is to right click on the message title on the message index page, the scroll down and click on "properties". This will list the address for the message, for example, your previous post is http://www.kayakforum.com/cgi-bin/Building/indexh.cgi/frames/read/95142 .
Going to this address will get straight to just the desired message. You can also post this as a link when responding to a post by putting this address in the optional link URL box. In this case, I just linked it to your previous post.
