: Ricardo! Thanks for getting back to me.

: I visited the site, impressive...given the language barrier... I was able to
: make out some of those designs in the headers of the page...sleek.

Björns english version!
: Do you make your fellows call you "sensei"? :)
No, I didn´t hear them call me that...
: You should be proud that you were able to lead the group through the
: processes involved, with such excellent results!
Some of them had worked with wood but not at this extend. They all learned fast and was very affected in this creativity. And they had a lot of fun building these kayaks.

: They all did their best and a

: Yeah, I'll say those boats are "mint". Bodacioius...Awesome...
: Totally Sweet...Fly....

: So that translates to about fifteen to seventeen feet?
If the calculator is right 5.80meters would be 19 feets. 55cm equals 21,7 inches. This metric system doesn´t use fractions, we use decimals instead. It´s much easier to do maths with them! Try it !!
: . This two weights in at about

: And a kilo is about what now?...$500-$1000US?
A kilo is the weight of one litre of water at +4degC. 1 litre is one cubicdecimeter and there is thousand of them in a cubicmeter.
Oh no, I forgot you dont use litres as well. And not degC, and not meters.
When I read datas in english I use the fast and not accurate way to translate:
1 kilo is 2 lbs or 1lbs is 0,5kilo.
1dm is 4inches or 1inch is 2,5cm.
1m is 3+foots (3meter is 10foot) or 1foot is 30cm.
23-25kilos would be 46-50lbs.
: He should be very pleased! Was it his first boat? Tell him the folks on the
: KBBB are sqawking about the excellent finish!
Yes, he was very skilld and learned me some tricks as well. All builders did their first kayak. Some of them hadn´t even paddled before! I´ll print this out and present them!
: I was wondering about a use for that stuff! After I cut out the cockpit of my
: own project, I was left with this round cambered piece, and really no idea
: how to make more use of it...you know, trying to respect the tree and
: all...now I have a use in mind....maybe for the next boat(s)....Maybe Mike
: Allen and I can share our scrap collection.
You can also make cheekplates from them. And some other small things. Keyrings for example.

: Thanks for the response Richard! Hey, how's that art display going for you?
I have built the stands and made covers from blue satin sheets. The exhibition opens on wednesday.
I
: hope you end up with your "smiling face, on the cover of the Rolling
: Stone"...or Sweden's equivalent.
This is not a big public event, it´s most for the staff and students.
