...or rather, TWO questions:

1) While I always assumed I'd be getting bead and cove bits and doing the cool-router-setup-thing, I'm beginning to wonder. I've talked with builders locally who say they're starting to get away from using b&c (at least for some parts of their boats). Varying reasons - bevels are easier, flat parts of decks don't need the b&c treatment, b&c makes cheater strips and other non-linear joints more difficult. Any thoughts??

2) It seems (to me, at least) that, no matter what type of joints are used on the hull and the deck, when it comes to joining the two a bead and cove joint doesn't work and the plain ol' double bevel is the only practical way to go. Am I reasoning correctly on this one?
