Your King looks great Steve! Great looking inserts.

I have been lurking on this site for far longer than you have taken to build....and will only be starting my first stripper (also a King) in a few months. You know....slowly....slowly...but surely.

I am curious. What wood did you use? Did you use b & c as suggested by Joe Greenley? I think I am going to use the bevelled approach so well described by Jay Babina and others. Are you planning to use Joe's plan for a coaming? I am thinking about using Vaclav's carbon coaming like I believe Reg Lake did. I am also toying with the idea of using Kayaksport hatches similar to Jay's Outer Island and Bobby Curtis's Sea Spirit. So much to think about...better be careful or I'll never get the boat built yet into the water!

Look forward to seeing more pics!
