Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. Having read your thoughts and done some investigating, I think I'll go with lighter weight glass and perhaps thinner strips rather than vacuum-bagging. Something to keep in mond for a larger boat, but I don't think the effort and cost justifies it.

I am considering paulownia - I'll be using that for stringers on another boat. However I have a load of WRC so want to see how that goes.
