In Response To: S&G: patterns on plywood (Ryel)

: I'm ready to cut some plywood to put together a S&G but I am concerned about
: spraying glue onto the plywood. Will the glue (that holds the pattern
: down) seal the wood so that the epoxy will not soak in? Is it a better
: idea to trace the pattern shape onto the wood?
: What are your thoughts and experience?
: thanks

Lay the pattern down on the ply - tap 3/4 inch panel pins through the paper along the cutting lines about 10 inches apart - pull the paper off over the tops of the pins - use a batten pressed against the pins to draw the lines on the ply.
