: What width strips were you looking for?

This is my first effort and I'm just about to where I finally have to make some strips and start placing them. I'm now placing the last of the forms on the strongback.

I noted in your later message that you don't bead and cove. I will and have gone to considerable effort to set up my router table.

Width ~ I guess material thickness could set that if I wish to minimize waste. I had thought 5/8 ". Perhaps on the deck I'll use wider strips were they will be straight.

What caused me to ask this question was that minimizing waste could determine strip width.

Would it be worth the effort to find two inch thick boards? I haven't seen any yet here in the Canandaigua area.
