: Just wondering if it makes sense to run my shop vac (with 1um filter)
: overnight in the shop to act as an air filtration system. I don't have any
: specs on the cfm that it pulls which makes it difficult to know if this is
: useful or not. I already use the shop vac with my sander which helps a lot
: while working.

: Anyone have other tricks for shop filtration/cleanup? I have a bunch of dust
: in the rafters which could be a pandora's box if I try to clean it up by
: blowing with compressed air and then trying to filter it.

: cheers

You could burn out your vac motor if you leave it on overnight.

A simple dust filter for your shop is to buy a square window fan and place a furnace filter in front of it and hang it from your shop ceiling.

Or, you can just mist the air with a hand spray bottle an hour before work to
know the dust out of the air. Throw some water on the floor too to keep the dust in place.

Don't run a tablesaw that day!
