I apply epoxy using a bristle brush. I apply it over a 2 to 3 foot long section with horizontal strokes working from keel line to sheer line or center deck to sheer line. Then I brush it out on both diagonals and finally I smooth it out with horizontal strokes, always working from a wet area to a dry area. I apply it fairly thickly and hardly ever have any runs at all. This is using West System 105/207 which I would classify as a "medium" speed hardener and I work in a heated shop.
