A Contrarian Idea

In Response To: Strip: Knee Brace Thoughts *Pic* (Bryan Hansel)

My two main boats are an NDK Romany HV (not Explorer) and Outer Island with a keyhole cockpit and wings for the thigh braces. Although both cockpits fit ok I wonder if something better could be done. In the old days I paddled a Mariner and the forward portion of the cockpit covered much more of the thigh area ... the cockpit was adequately long but the forward curvature was such that it covered more of the thigh. It was easier to fit out and more comfortable than my current coamings allow ... and I didn't feel jammed into the thing like I do with the NDK style. Just an idea.
