: The boat I am currently working on is too wide for 60" fiberglass, so I
: am having to use 1 piece (6 ounce) for each side, and overlap in the
: middle by a couple of inches. If I wet out piece 1, wait until it is
: sandable, feather the edge, lay piece 2, wait until it is sandable, and
: feather the edge, I'm not going to have green epoxy for applying the fill
: coats.

: Can I get away with not feathering the edges, or possibly just the
: "underneath" edge, or am I stuck just getting a mechanical
: connection, rather than a chemical one?

Can you just lay both pieces at the same time and feather after it sets?
