: . . . Our usage of these products for canoes and kayaks is not in
: their technical vocabulary and therefore get an automatic "no"
: response. Helmsman holds up fine on canoes and kayaks. I've use it for
: years although I tried a can of Epifanes spar varnish and I'm impressed.
: It holds it's gloss longer than Helmsman in my opinion. Could be I did a
: better application job ??

Sounds like someone ought to invite the sales reps and tech people from some varnish makers to speak at a few wooden kayak get-togethers. Apparently they don't know how well their products perform in our applications. I'm sure they would like to hear some of the positive feedback, and perhaps they could pass along better information, or maybe get started on making a special forumlation for the submerged parts of boats which don't spend all their lives in the water.

Just a thought.
