I agree with Brian. I also laminate coamimgs for the SOFs I build . 1/8" white oak strips about 1" wide. 3 layers with Gorilla glue results in a 1/2" thick coamimg. 3 more layers 3/8" wide a 1/2" lip. Strong, good looking, works great.
